Well we arrived safely and have enjoyed a full day of jet-lagged sight seeing in Shanghi. I just joined the blog and want to post, but some of the page is showing up in Chinese (surprise!) and I can't find the right way to post. So I'm just responding to Michele. So far we've had a toast to Charlie and have thought about him often. We will have lots of stories to share when we get back home. As time and internet connectivity allow, I'm also going to try to set up a Flicker account so that we can post pictures of our trip.
So far, I have to say that the trip is as exciting as expected. We've got a great group, and we're really enjoying experiencing the places, the people and the food together.
